Triple Valley Stage Race - Salt Lake City, Utah - April 12-13
Team CMJC competed in their first combined race as part of
the Montana Junior Cycling Foundation, Team Hammer. We
were able to take 6 riders and combine forces with other
riders from Rimrock United & GAS/Intrinsik. Team Hammer
swept the 3 podium spots, Team CMJC took 2nd (Wyatt) &
3rd (Clayton). All riders rode well in the 3 stages on Sat. &
Sun.
Stage #1 started with a 40 mile Road Race in the morning,
followed by Stage #2, an 8 mile Time Trial a few hours later.
Sunday rounded out the racing with a Stage #3, 20 mile
Circuit Race.

Ice Breaker Road Race - Great Falls, Montana - April 27
Team CMJC competed in their first running event of the
year. This is an annual event for team CMJC, and as usual
we had team members at the top of their age groups.
Wyatt & JP competed in the 3 mile run and Matt in the 1 mile
run. Running is just another way our team member stay in
shape through the year. There may even be a Triathlon or
two yet this year, who knows.
Belt Creek Omnium - Belt, Montana - May 10
Team CMJC competed in their first sanctioned race in
Montana. The race included a 13 rider junior group. Junior
teams in attendance included T5VV - Missoula, GAS -
Bozeman, Headwinds - Lethbridge, AB, Canada, Delphine -
Bozeman, As well as CMJC - Great Falls.
Overall Junior winners were Zach McAllister - Headwinds
and Allison Rognile - Delphine. Conor finished 2nd (17-18),
Clayton 1st, Wyatt 2nd, JP 3rd, Matt 4th (15-16), Tory 2nd
(F15-16) and Tiller 1st (10-12). Good job against a VERY
strong headwind for the TT & RR.

Wenatchee Omnium - Wenatchee, WA - May 17th & 18th
MJCF, Team Hammer traveled to central Washington for the
2nd of 5 Team series events. This was a 3 stage event,
Road Race, Crit, & Time Trial, all in 2 days. We arrived
after traveling ALL day Friday. Sat morning was the 9 mile
TT followed later that day by a 30 minute Crit. Sunday was
the 42 mile Road Race. The weather was hot (near 100
degrees) both days. It was a good weekend, and made
going back to school on Monday just that much more fun.
Tour of the Bitterroot - Hamilton, MT - May 14th & 25th
MJCF, Team Hammer got to stay home for this, the 3rd of 5
Team series events. Again it was a 3 stage event, Road
Race, Crit, Time Trial. At least it wasn't 100 degrees this
weekend, but heavy rain & 50 degrees wasn't an
improvement. The Sat. Road Race was just one small step
above miserable, at least the crit was nice Sun. morning,
Time Trial was again wet & windy.
Cow Country Classic - Wolf Creek, MT - June 1st
Today was a nice day for a road race, a 38 miler at that. Not
all the junior riders were able to make it, but still had a 10
person junior field. The first big hill was a 9% - 1.75 mile
challenge, and it split the field up rather good. All in all it
was a good ride.
Fish Tails Criterium State Champ - Whitefish, MT - June 7th
Today was a great day if you were a duck, it rained all day
during the State Criterium Championships. The weather has
been interesting this year, very little sunshine. We had all
the regular riders in attendance, and also had Travis join us
from Team Vertical Earth. The State Title was earned by
18yo Junior rider Nate Weston, congratulations Nate.
Star Meadows Road Race - Whitefish, MT - June 7th
It rained again today, but it seems as if we have gotten used
to it. This is the most beautiful & interesting ride in the
State, lots of hills and turns. A little smaller field, as the girls
took a day off. All in all it was a great weekend, everyone
enjoyed the hot tub.
Eden Road Race State Champ - Great Falls, MT - June 22nd
This was another VERY difficult race, 40 miles, as well as
awful wind conditions. 18yo Junior Nate Weston won his 2nd
State Championship Title, though he had his hands full with
15yo Junior Wyatt Hatch who finished a very close 2nd.
Gate City Grind Stage Race - Pocatello, ID - June 28 - 29
